ET offers a complete emergency response and on-site contaminated soil treatment service package. ET can respond to a petroleum or chemical spill; contain and recover the free product, and then treat the contaminated soil on-site. This complete service package and our innovative treatment techniques reduce the overall cost of the project.

    Emergency Response

ET provides emergency response services for petroleum and chemical spills. Our emergency response services consist of mobilizing a team of qualified professionals and state of the art equipment for chemical releases. Our team of contractors and consultants assess the situation, contain, and recover free product and excavate any saturated soils. If low level contamination exists after free product removal and saturated soil excavation, we provide secondary clean-up services, vapor mitigation and testing services designed to achieve site closure.

    Petroleum Contaminated Soil Biopiling

ET can treat petroleum contaminated soil on-site by constructing a biopile. The biopile is constructed by mixing fertilizer, manure, and wood chips with the contaminated soil. The fertilizer and manure add nutrient to stimulate the natural microbes in the soil that degrade petroleum product and the wood chips add bulk porosity to the pile, thus allowing air flow. Next, vertical and horizontal runs of slotted piping are added to the pile to provide air flow.

The pile is covered with at least 8 mil polyethylene sheeting and sampled for moisture and contaminant levels. After the soil is treated, the soil can usually be used as on-site fill.

Compound Stabilization

ET uses specifically designed compounds to stabilize contaminated soil, sludge, and sediments. Our compounds will stabilize volatile organic compounds, heavy metals, sewer sludge pathogens, gasoline range organics and diesel range organics.

The compound is applied to the soil, sediment or sludge thoroughly the use of a pug mil to thoroughly mix the material. Water is added to assist with the mixing process, suppress vapors and control the heat of oxidation. After 24-hours the material has oxidized and is tested by an independent laboratory.
